Anyone here collect hockey cards? Here's the deal. 3 years ago one of my best friends died of cancer. He left his roommates, who were 2 of his best friends and are mine also, a large collection of hockey cards. I'm not sure if there's any baseball, we have to go through them all. There's quite a few from the 72-73 season, maybe a few years after, and some from the early 90's. Like I said we have to go through them all. I just thought I would see if anyone here collects them before they get ready to sell them so you could get first dibs. Below is one of the cards. It is a Gordie Howe card from a set in 1991 or 1992. As is in the picture it sells for .99 cents, but the one my friends have is signed by Gordie IN GOLD PEN and comes with a certificate of authentication. If anyone is interested let me know.

the only rookie card I am missing from that era (84) is Steve Yzerman.
I would also be interested in any Canuck cards, of course.

We have to go through them. There are some Yzerman cards, but not rookie. I think he stooped collecting for a while then started again around 90. It was funny seeing some Golden Seals cards. I wonder what other defunct teams or teams that have moved he has.

most of my collecting was in the mid-late 70's so I have all the Clevland Barons era stuff.
Randy Holt for the win! :D

i remember what a huge deal it was when the WHL teams were added, and they each had a 'logo card'. Those were big ones to trade for

I've got a mint condition Yzerman rookie card. I bought it during "the hype" so I'm guessing it's worth about the same as I paid for it, 20 years ago.
