I wouldn't worry about it. Most likely it would be used (if at all) in pre-season games as a test to gather data like the article indicated. They could even put a chip inside the puck to track movement without it glowing for the television cameras. Computers can do amazing things these days.

I wish they would just use it for exhibition games or the All-Star game. Not for regular season and playoffs.
