In the words of Pete Carroll "WHAT'S YOUR DEAL!". The guy wants out, then he says he might stay, then he says he wants to stay, and now he might be willing to waive his ETO. Seriously, gtfo of here with your nonsense.

If Dwight waives his ETO, I will be shocked. So far he's been completely self serving and way more selfish than any superstar I can remember in recent history. His ploy for telling the team they have to "roll the dice" is just insulting to everyone involved.

He's going to end up with the Nets, regardless if it's this season, this off-season or the season after that, if he opts-in and creates all the same drama as this past season. Ridiculous.

Teammates said he told them he was all in for this season. They said he mentioned nothing about next season. He's full of shit.

ESPN reports he told them he will stick around for next season.

The much more reliable Yahoo Sports says that's not true, only till the end of this season.

They aren't getting by the Heat or Bulls this year so they might as well trade his ass.

Unless Howard agrees to put his promis in writing, I think the Magic would be best served to trade him before the deadline.

Since I don't think he is going to be willing to put his promise in writing, I think he will be a Laker or a net 24 hours from now.

DH's manager says DH just waived his ETO. He is staying in Orlando.

DH texted Broussard and confirmed it.

Good thing we didn't wait around on that BS.

Crazy Dwight Howard. What an ass he's been this whole time. And now the same drama is just going to continue.

No doubt. His childishness and the way he's handled this situation has made me sour on him. I've gone from liking him to openly rooting against him. I didn't care if he stayed or went but the amount of waffling he did was totally unnecessary.

His bluff got called. As Jerry West said a few months ago: that is what it's going to take to curb this whole "I want to ball with my buddies in South Beach" mentality. The Magic told him: either you waive the ETO or we trade your ass to Sacramento. Your call.

He caved, which was the smart thing to do if he wants to be in the playoffs this year.

The next step will be for a team to dare a max player to simply walk away and leave that $28MM guaranteed last year on the table. When that happens, the player, again, will cave. And only then will we have a bit of sanity returned to this crazy pending FA situation.
