Miller goes #2 to Denver.

Dareus goes to Buffalo.

I have Gabbert going next to Cin, Jordan going to the Cards, Green to Cleveland and Peterson falling to the Niners.

Of course, my 49er knowledge is about on par (probably lower) than Marcus' Giants knowledge...

OK, I have not gotten a single pick right yet...

Cincy took Green. If Gabbert makes it past Arz, he will likely be available for the 9ers. Do we want him over Peterson?

If the Niners turned down anything close to the haul that the Browns got for number six to take Aldon Smith, they are idiots. I have to believe that no one wanted to move up. The fact remains that they could've gotten him at 10 or 11. Obviously, the Redskins wanted to move back, and by the Texans taking J.J. Watt, they probably would've grabbed Smith, themselves. However, they realized there was no need to move up to grab him as the Niners should have been trying to move back. The Cardinals ruined everything by not taking Gabbert. Oh, well.

They had been talking to the Falcons too, but Cleveland simply was picking higher and thus got the haul. I agree; best draft day deal in a long time. The Browns bent the Coons over and worked them.

I think Smith will be a solid pass rusher.

+1. Wish they could've gotten their man plus another 2nd rounder, but sometimes that just doesn't work out. The Browns will have no excuse if they aren't good in three years.

That makes sense. I was wondering why the Niners brass looked pissed then the Falcons moved ahead of them. It makes sense now understanding that they had a "r*pe-deal" in place with Atl as well.

The 45th, 108th (the earlier of the two in the 4th) and 141st (the only one they had in the fifth). I think that last one kills any chance of grabbing Owen Marecic from Stanford. At least, I hope they don't reach for him in the 4th. Maybe he'll slip to the 6th, but I'm hoping for the kicker from UCLA either there or in the 7th. Still need a corner, but that is probably next. If anything, this ensures a serious run at Asomugha and restructuring of Clements' contract.

Well, I hope they like this kid. Everything I have heard says that everyone is acting stupid on QBs in this draft, so I am ignorantly disappointed that they got involved in the game...

We'll see. He is definitely a good athlete. I hope Harbaugh realizes that he is staking his coaching career on this kid. I can't believe this was all Baalke.

I doubt the Falcons contacted the 49ers, the Browns were linked to taking Julio Jones at least by the talking heads and after Cleveland the next team that may have taken Jones was at 10, if Cleveland took Jones the Falcons would have no need to trade up since their guy was off the board. It's too bad that the Browns didn't pick behind the 49ers then maybe we get that deal.

However, I really like the Aldon Smith pick, the 49ers haven't had a decent pass rush in about 10 years and Aldon Smith brings an immediate respectability to the 49ers pass rush, teams will have to game plan for him.

By the way Von Miller said that besides himself Aldon Smith has the DROY.
