Its funny how far they have come since the early nineties... I'm watching Darkman right now, this shit is hilarious. The dialogue is just, hilarious. I'm hoping Thor isn't a huge let down, like I stated earlier, I think it will be.

I like Darkman, I always took it as intentionally campy, like the Raimi's other early movies, especially his horror movies.

Either way, I agree with you. For the most part comic/super hero movies are better now than ever before.

Though the first couple Superman movies in the 70s were decent I thought.

Ive been very happy with the adaptions in the last few years.

Superman Returns was a little weak but hopefully Superman: Man of Steel will be better. Noone will give Superman what Christopher Reeve did he was the Man of Steel.
The Fantastic Four was average as was The Incredible Hulk but that was better than Ang Lee's Hulk which really wasnt too bad.

The Dark Knight was really awesome as was the 1st 2 Spidermans (the Third was terrible) I cant believe they are rebooting Spiderman already and Ironman probably has been one of hte better ones (2 was good as well)

Im REALLY looking forward to Thor. The trailers Ive seen so far give it some great character. Im not looking forward at all to Green Lantern. I like Ryan Renolds but I just dont see him as Hal Jordan. I always see Ryans characters as Ryan Renolds I cant get over that.

Daredevil which is my favorite all time Comic Book Character was BUTCHERED in that movie. it was terrible. I dont even blame Ben Affleck, I blame the director. It was terrible the only redeeming quality was bullseye and only because of the actor.

I wish they would reboot that one.

punishers have been slightly disappointing and Xmen 1 and 2 were great.

never saw Watchmen as I never read the comic. I will see it eventually. Hellboy 1 and 2 were very fun but I love Ron as an actor.

dont need to comment on Batman Begins as it is very good (original Batman was pretty campy in its own right but in 1989 I was stunned at how cool it was - I actually preferred Batman Returns, everything after that did not exist)

That is scheduled to be delivered to my house TODAY from Netflix! I'm excited. I love Edgar Wright (the director) so much!

I just started reading comics this month. And by saying that, I really mean, someone lent me a few issues of "Y: The Last Man" and I'm totally hooked on it. Haven't read any other comics. Anyways, I can't see why they haven't made "Y: The Last Man" into a movie yet. It'd be awesome.

Kick Ass was a good movie. Never read the comic though.

Green Hornet was ok in it's own way, but that was mainly because of the side kick.

I can't wait for the Captain America movie to come out.

There are/were plans... Whomever owned the rights wanted to make it just one movie, and the person responsible for writing the script didnt feel the story would fit into 2 hours, so he left the project.

Well, no, it wouldn't fit properly in two hours. Why would whoever bought the rights only want one movie? Aren't franchise films more popular?

It's also more expensive to commit up-front to making both films.

If the first one bombs and you're already on the hook for the second...

I haven't liked hardly any of them (of the "normal" superhero variety at least).

Obviously the last two Batman's were good, but look at the steaming pile that was Batman & Robin.

I also liked the Iron Man movies, which I credit a ton to Robert Downey Jr. being a perfect Tony Stark.

Daredevil was excruciating to watch (sorry to disagree mattola, but Colin Farrell as Bullseye made me want to kill everything in sight).

Superman Returns was poorly written, poorly directed, poorly paced.

Both Hulks were terrible (though I agree that Ang Lee's was worse).

Fantastic 4 were both pretty "meh" in my book. Take 'em or leave 'em.

Didn't like the X Men movies either (OK, maybe I'm just too hung up on Anna Paquin as Rogue, which I thought was BRUTAL casting)

Some of what would be considered graphic novel adaptations I've enjoyed though. I guess that's easier to adapt though since you can take the entire story even whereas adapting the story for Superman, etc. is pretty tough.

I love Y: The Last Man too and think it would be a good trilogy or even HBO or Showtime series.

Watchmen was good... Storyline was a little jumpy. But was great.

Hugh Jackman eats 6,000 calories a day for 'The Wolverine' – The Marquee Blog - CNN.com Blogs

- looks like they will bulk him up to give him the more classic wolverine look which is good

Hugh Jackman to Wolverine fans: ‘The planets are finally aligned to make a great movie’ - and it looks like they may finally get it right with Wolverine. They are taking him to Japan to fight the Hand. I wish they would go with a WW2 time piece but Ill take the Japanese Story. I hope they stay true to the history.
