Therein lies the difference between "camping kicks ass" and "camping blows chunks".

We have a cabin between Traverse City and Charleviox on the Bay.
I am thinking about becoming the third person to upload an actual picture of themselves with me on the deck drinking a beer.
Since it is a cabin, it is really not camping, but I love getting up and hiking the beach for miles amongst other things.

Sounds great. I like camping, but I do prefer a cabin. I usually vacation in the mountains of western Md each fall where we rent a cabin. I am outside all day but I do prefer an indoor bed and indoor plumbing at the end of the day.

No mountains this year, I just found out I will be taking a cruise that goes through New England and eastern Canada ( I assume I'll run into some of the Canadian board posters while there). I wouldn't think I am the cruise type, but a someone else is paying for it, so it sounds great

used to love camping ... last experience was bad though ... maybe 10 years ago now ... rainy, bad drinking experience combined with getting strep throat and chasing my new sandal as it was swept away down river ... kinda turned me off camping

/actually it was probably meeting my now wife whose parents have a vacation condo in Kelowna

Camping rules! We did it a lot when the boy's were younger and always enjoyed it.

It was the first and only time I ever "streaked" in my life. I should note it was late and the boy's were sleeping and did it on a dare from my wife.:o

Always loved the campfires and quiet time.

Ahhh the campfire! The hub of the camp. Ours wasn't exactly quiet though!!:D

We got a streaker, huh!? Come clean, is that your real tactic for keeping kids off your lawn!?!:p

I go camping several times a year but I always stay at St. Joe Lake in Idaho for a few nights at least once every summer.

I just got back from Yosemite last night.

I guess you can classify it as my honeymoon, however, we had this trip planned before we set our date for the wedding.

The trip was excellent, the beauty never fails.. however, in order for my wife to conserve off days this year, we planned our spring yosemite trip over memorial day... what I learned is, never go to Yosemite during memorial.
