I have long given up on James Patterson's books (every page is a new chapter!) but I always liked his character Alex Cross. I heard they are going to make another movie with his character but not with Morgan Freeman. Instead they are going to use Idris Elba. To me thats a great choice and I look forward to it.

FortySix, for Pendergrast I also always wondered how Cary Elwes or Paul Bettany would do.

They both definitely look the part...a lot of people on their webpage have mentioned David Caruso with blond hair, because of the age thing.....I know he is supposed to be almost albino...

Lionel Essrog from "Motherless Brooklyn". A private detective with Tourette's. Great book, great character. Would need someone with acting chops. At one point Edward Norton was supposed to produce this, taking on the lead role, but that died out.

Well, I know him more from the Guy Ritchie flicks than his newer stuff and he was a badass in those....

Norton is atop my list of favorite actors.

Since then he's done a lot of shit, mostly the Transporter and Crank series. "The Bank Job" being an exception.

I read Spy by Bell. Thats all. Why I started on the 4th in a series I cannot tell you.

I could see Viggo as Roland. I am currently reading The Wolves of Calla. Great series so far, it would be tough to pull of but if they could any one of these books could be a great movie. (Wizard and the Glass anyone?)

I think if the Enders Game movie does finally come out it will have to be a pretty unknown actor to play him. I don't think his character would fit with some teeny bopper actor (plus kid actors don't stay young long enough to make multiple good movies as kids, I'm looking at you 36 year old Harry Potter.

I would be stoked if/when they make that movie. Loved that series when I was younger.

One thing I didn't like with Norton as Lionel: Norton always looks smart. And Lionel is supposed to look dumb. I also envisioned Lionel as sort of a hulking brute, don't know if that was in the book or not but that's what's in my mind's eye.

After watching Repo Men tonight, I think Forest Whitaker would be great in the role. He's already got that nervous tick thing going on, tourettes wouldn't be much of a stretch for him. He's got the physical presence. No real reason Lionel couldn't be black.

Inspired casting, really.
