OT: Better or worse than the last 40 years of Leafs hockey?

I'd have to go with better for the simple reason that the girls hurdle race did end...The Leafs are on a treadmill of bad and nobody has pulled the plug.

Agreed. I found it amusing but at the same time couldn't help but feel bad for them. At least they were out there trying and participating in athletic competition instead of sitting at home and playing Farmville or Mafia Wars on Facebook or whatever it is that girls their age do.

Having said that, I consider it worse in a sense, because I feel bad for these girls. I never feel bad for the Leafs.

I felt bad for the one girl in the gray. Her knees were pretty badly scraped up. Meh oh well might as well get used to being on her knees.....I know that was kinda mean. Ah fuck it.

I don't know that those girls were inherently bad hurdlers, but if you misstep on the first hurdle like they did, you're screwed for the rest of the race. It's not uncommon for even a very good hurdler to be unable to recover and clear subsequent hurdles after missing one.

Since I don't know that these girls are bad hurdlers for certain, and in fact may have just misstepped on the first hurdle and were unable to recover afterwards (or got hurt in the process), but I do know that the Leafs over the last 40 years have been bad definitively, I'll have to say this is better.

Did it? The one girl that finished has a DNF for running around the one hurdle. I'm sure Burke will offer her a contact anyway with a NTC...No Trip Contract.
