Bernier lost his confidence after the season started and looked like he may have been coming around startingin that game against LA, a shelling like this can ruin a goaltender who is already struggling with confidence but thinks he has turned the corner.

Jones, he has proven to be what I think most of us knew, a product of his team. He had his moments in LA but no real body of work to justify that he would be the successor to Quick. When Quick was injured in November 2013 and missed something like 25 games and Jones was in getting all those SOs and wins, the Kings' defense was solid and helped him out a lot. When the defense took a hit the following season - Mitchell gone, Voynov suspended - Jones did not replicate his feats.

Not a bad goalie, just not as good as advertised and very inconsistent from what I have seen since. The Kings got Lucic out of it, who I do think will stay in LA after this season.
