Then the Texans come back and win the game while erasing a 17 point deficit... I doubt he get's his job back...

Savage is not a stud...he'll fall on his face soon enough and Os will get another shot...he's a lock to be on the roster next year...if he gets cut before next season, O'Brien is dead meat too.

His salary of $16+ mill next year is fully guaranteed.

This is one of the dumbest signings ever. The GM needs to be fired. He has been making stupid decisions like this for a while. They signed Osweiller without him coming in for a visit or the coaching staff visiting him.
That's nothing! A bad contract would be giving Cutler 126 million over 7 years. Phil Emery should not have a job in the NFL anymore. It's like he joined the bears as GM to fuck them over and then leave.

Raise your hand if you actually thought this was a smart signing at the time. It is amazing how stupid NFL teams can be.

This... I was definitely one that thought he had bust written all over him...

I'm not sure there were any Houston fans who were in favor of that signing even after watching Hoyer in the playoffs.

Always thought the Osweiler signing was ridiculous.

First off his name is Brock. That's just a destined fail. Like Brock was the first Pokemon trainer and got his Onyx destroyed by a fucking pikachu and then Brock just became Ash's bitch the rest of the series and could never get laid.

I couldn't tell if your post deserved a winner or funny vote because of this part LOL.

When will teams learn even though you are desperate for a QB don't just go out and throw money on someone who truly isn't "tested"

Every year there's another Scott Mitchell.

Oswellier will have to suffer the same shame as Matt Casell of being grossly overpaid for being completely mediocre.

Actually Casell should be thanking Oswellier for making himself the new gold standard in stupid contract signing.

For the niners.

In a trade I can see it. As a free agent there is no way he goes unless the Niners offer obscene money. What QB wants to play for Chip Kelly? The Chip Kelly offense is where QB careers go to die.

Mark Sanchez died in Denver actually. Chip will go after Jimmy. He has no other choice.

Jimmy Garoppolo is on deck...

The funny thing is that Garoppolo looked very good when he played.. Sure he may have one of the best coaches of all time with a top-notch coaching staff to make him look good but he did look good. A good number of veteran players (even without Gronk)

So he might indeed do well on another team but...

I wouldn't pay him 70 million dollars to find out.

It looks real dumb right now, but far from one of the dumbest ever...MIA and Mike Wallace trumps this by a good margin. The kid could turn this around next year, but if he doesn't, somebody's head should roll.

I do not want Jimmy Geppeto....another guy that just screams Matt Cassell/Ryan Mallett.
