Then the Texans come back and win the game while erasing a 17 point deficit... I doubt he get's his job back...

Always thought the Osweiler signing was ridiculous.

First off his name is Brock. That's just a destined fail. Like Brock was the first Pokemon trainer and got his Onyx destroyed by a fucking pikachu and then Brock just became Ash's bitch the rest of the series and could never get laid.

Second, if the Broncos thought Osweiler was any good or that he could run that team, they easily would've made the contract work. But they knew he sucked balls because of the aforementioned item.

Houston will probably win that division by default because it sucks monkey ass, and then proceed to get rofl stomped like they do whenever they make the playoffs. Pisses me off because it's a free win for whoever they have to face first, meanwhile NFC has been pretty stiff competition in the first games for a while now.

 over 4 or 5 years?

4.

They are essentially stuck with him this year and next. But in his 3rd year they can save $15M by releasing him and eat $6M in cap. He already looks like a wasted investment, so basically they sacrificed a year (next) of resigning key players or grabbing some FA help. Still likely sacrificed 3-4 years (by the time they groom an actual QB) by signing that tall lanky ass mother fucker.

Raise your hand if you actually thought this was a smart signing at the time. It is amazing how stupid NFL teams can be.

*Whispers really loud*

If people actually watched the QB's instead of seeing if they looked the part, Osweiler, Bortles, and the like wouldn't ever be NFL starters.

They all think they can make them work. It's part ego part stupidity. Bortles? There is a reason the Jags are the Jags. His windup would make Walter Johnson proud.

His salary of $16+ mill next year is fully guaranteed.

This is one of the dumbest signings ever. The GM needs to be fired. He has been making stupid decisions like this for a while. They signed Osweiller without him coming in for a visit or the coaching staff visiting him.

I believe the guaranteed money, which is all that matters, is 21 mil this year and 16 mil next year. After that, they can cut his ass with little cap hit.

you mean like drafting an oft injured OLB #1 to play DE; while the top rated OLB in the draft is now getting MVP consideration?
