Good deal for the Birds. Solid lineup now
Markakis 9
Machado 5
Jones 8
Davis 3
Cruz DH
Wieters 2
Hardy 6
whose gonna be the starting LF and 2B? Reimold/Lough, Flaherty/Weeks
Seems to me Cruz is going to be constantly replaced by Lough defensively when the O's are up late.
Yeah didnt cruz help make david freese the world series mvp, 2 outs, hard hit ball that cruz turned a game winning series clinching out into a game tying triple?
That never happened. Therapists have erased that moment from my memory and therefore I have erased it from history.
Never happened!
I can't say I view this as anything but meh. Wasn't really that good of a player. Signed for roughly market value.
I don't know how you can view a guy who consistently hovers around 30 HRs as a "meh" player.
This is a great signing for Baltimore. I imagine a lot of teams were scared away because of PED concerns.

Because hitting homers is the only thing Cruz does well. A low OBP/high SLG corner outfielder with average (at best) defense is kind of meh.

For every bit of good he brings with the bat, he brings bad things with the glove. K% is not where you would like it to be either.

Yeah because is a light hitting, exception fielder is exactly what you need in a guy splitting time between LF and DH.
