Oregon vs Washington HATE week.

I still don't get why vegas has the ducks as dogs in this game. I mean I get that so far Oregon has only managed to beat the equivalent of high school level teams and didn't look great in those, but the ducks are seriously going to be desperate to win this game. At 3-3 they HAVE to win this game if they want to reach a bowl. As crazy that it is, it's true. If they lose this game they must win 2 of their next 4 against @ASU, Cal, @Stanford, and USC and still must also beat the beavs.

Given their backs are against the wall then just to make a bowl that just adds another layer to this.

The real reason I'd put the line more like Oregon -6 is the expected weather. Browning is a cali kid that probably has nearly no experience playing in cold and rain and if Adams does play he has tons of experience in all kinds of conditions. No real wind, but it still favors the ducks ground game. Yet vegas has actually crept slightly the other way and is now UW -2 at a couple of sites. Just don't get it.

More of you duck fans need to back up your rhetoric and put your money where your mouths are. Move that line where it belongs.

Ya, I am not.liking the emotional setup of this game at all. Huskies coming off a big emotional win while the ducks are backed into a corner. Will be a real test to see if Petersen can keep the guys focused. Also not a big fan of Azeem Victor being out the first half. He is the kind of guy that can set a tone for the defense, like he did from the get go at USC.

Any news on Vernon Adams? Injured or not, that guy still gives me nightmares from last year.

I saw the line Sunday evening and it was -1 to -1.5 UW at the main 4. I never saw it in favor of Oregon so it had to be a seriously quick turnover that then froze.

Either way, if I was a duckie I'd put my mortgage on this game. At those odds? VA back, rain favoring your ground game, UW probably playing pretty tight with all pressure the alums and fans put on them for this game, backs against the wall and all the refocus that brings?

You know how the modern trend is in college, coaches don't discuss injuries during game weeks. There hasn't been anything official on that. Petersen says he expects him to play, but is that coach speak? Just preparing for anything? Guessing? I doubt he has any inside info that wouldn't be out there for everyone.

Obviously having Victor out for the first half is a concern, but at least Oregon even at their worst is normally a slow starting team. Just keep it within a TD at the half and that defense will take off.
