Inspired by the Seinfeld character George Castanza, and encouraged by Chef, I present the week 8 OG picks.

George's motto:
If every instinct you every have is wrong, then the opposite would have to be right.
Disclaimer: keep in mind these are picks that even I may not make. But with so many teams on byes, you never know.

TE - Andrew Quarless. Available in 98% of ESPN leagues. With Finley out, he gets his shot. Maybe he's doesn't inspire much confidence, but he's got a great QB/offense and Minny gives up an average of 15 points to the opposing TE.

RB - Kendall Hunter. Available in 88% of ESPN leagues. I'm guessing that the 49ers will at some point want to rest Gore. And since the 9ers are playing the Jags, that rest may come early in the first half. Enter Hunter.

WR - Jerome Simpson. Available in 94% of ESPN leagues. The guys gets plenty of looks. And Ponder will be more accurate than Gosh Freeman. Plus you have to figure that Minny will be losing - so passing to catch up is inevitable.

QB - Carson Palmer. Available in 88% of ESPN leagues. TKO and I talked about him on a couple of other SportsHoopla threads. Stats show Atlanta doesn't pressure the QB often. ATL allows an average 286 passing yards and 2.3 TD per game. Palmer has tossed a lot of INT this season, but he's played against some pretty tough defenses: DET, NO, TB, CAR, SF, SEA.... yet he has still averaged almost 250 yards a game and has tossed a TD in all but 1 game.

Anyone else have any?

Awesome, Opposite George! I kinda like the Quarless shout-out...starting for the Pack, he's certainly worth a shot if you're hurting at TE or have one on a bye.

I'll bite............................keep in mind this is about as deep as it gets and I do not own him in any leagues (and nobody else does either lol)............................but here it is............

Khiry Robinson: Look, I know the Bills have been playing a lot better than most had thought they would but in the dome, off the bye I think the Saints beat the poopy out of the Bills (sorry TKO). Anyway, dude only touched the ball 7 times against the Pats but looked pretty good to me. I see him in clock killing mode and would bet he gets close to double digit points this week. With all of the injuries and byes this week that could be enough.

I betcha Robinson scores more points than Frenchie this week and is a future waiver wire darling.

I was tempted to pick him up but honestly if you don't own Sproles I'm not sure there is a RB there to own. I just see this week as Robinsons....................I have Hillis as my deep start this week.............at least he should touch the ball 15-20 times.

don't worry Sam, any Bills fan who tells you they expect a win is lying or delusional... like the Saints needed a bye week to prepare for the Bills!

this Sunday I'm eating chicken salad, on rye, un-toasted, with a side of potato salad...and a cup of tea!

Looks like OG was 2 for 4.

Palmer and Hunter came through.
Quarless and Simpson each registered a single point. Fail.
