Excellent question - my money is on Grandal (from a marketing point of view - opening day and your biggest contract doesn't start?). But, the Sox may make up some kind of rule related to on which occasions McCann will start (like all Sundays).

The Sox certainly have depth at Catcher - by MLB standards.

I'm sure we paid the league's best two-way catcher a year ago 4/73 to be the backup catcher.
