We are going into week 17 and have absolutely no clue how the playoffs will look... Only the Chiefs have clinched the playoffs and the certain seed... They Will be the 5th seed no matter how week 17 goes...

Could we have asked for a better week 17??

We have Chicago- Green bay(winner takes division)
we have Philly vs Dallas(winner takes division)-too bad that romo went down

Here is my predictions on how the seeding will be(there is more than 20 variations of this still)

AFC
1. Denver
2. cincin
3. Colts
4. Patriots
5. Chiefs
6. Dolphins

NFC

1. Seattle
2. Carolina
3. Philly
4. Packers
5. 49ers
6. Saints

I agree with the teams just different order for the AFC.

1. Denver
2. New England
3. Cincy
4. Indy
5. Chiefs
6. Dolphins

The nice thing for the 2-4 teams is they have home games this week. I think they all win their games so the order stays pretty much the same as it is now just with the Dolphins clinching the final spot in the AFC.

In the NFC it would be great to see the Cardinals take that 6 seed but I just don't see the Saints losing at home. If it was on the road I would probably give the nod to the Cardinals.

who gets that 6th is going to be exciting in the afc

I just need it explained to me why in a tie between SD,Balt, and Miami
Miami gets the 6 if they all win
Balt gets the 6 if they all lose and pitt loses...

I hope the saints lose and cardinals win too, but i dont see that happening... especially when there is a chance that SF can win the division and get a bye...

yep, there is still a lot to be determined and with the amount of upsets over the past 2 weeks, there is no telling how this is all going to shake out.

I just think the Cardinals deserve it with how they have played this year plus I think they are a lot better match up to actually go into Seattle and beat them as we saw this past Sunday.

well, it's pretty clear at this point that the cardinals are better than any team in the NFC East or the NFC North but they will likely be sitting at home in january.

How can it be "clear" when just recently the eagles beat the cardinals? Any given Sunday remains the rule.

Eh, well i guess Philly is debatable but i still think Arizona would be leading either division fairly comfortably.

Conference record tie breaker I think is the 1st tiebreaker in a 3way tie.

Divisions kind of make it dumb...

Arizona most likely won't make the playoffs, and they're better than any team in the NFC North/East

Because KC is behind Denver they get the 5 seed (they're probably top 3 AFC team)

Because SF is behind Seattle they get the 5 seed (they're probably a top 3 NFC team)

If the packers beat the bears in Chicago, I will be one very sad man. I know neither team has a shot in the playoffs, but the packers eliminating the bears on the way to the Super Bowl after squeaking in by beating the bears at the end of the season was painful to watch. A little redemption needs to be in order, but if Rodgers is starting with any runningback that has 2 legs then they will put up a lot of points.

The Panthers could end up anywhere from #1 to #6 in the NFC, depending on how things shake out. The only thing they can do is beat Atlanta and see what happens. While I do think the Cards deserve a playoff spot, they can finish no worse than 10-6, the NFCN champ will be 8-8 and the NFCE champ could be 9-7, due to the current playoff system they probably will get shut out.

I love the fact that we are going into the final week of the NFL season with so much up for grabs. All the divisions in the NFC are still up in the air. Four teams fighting for the last playoff spot in the AFC. It's going to be a great day of football coming up.
