Newsflash: Rick Bowness is an asshole.

Riley Tufte was scratched an hour before game time after he had spent all his per diem money on tickets for friends and family to see what would have been his first NHL game in his home of Minneapolis. Nick Bjugstad even chipped in some money to make sure everyone he wanted there could come. He had been put out in front of the media for two days talking about playing there.

Such an odd choice to have Calgary open the Isles’ new barn.

Really out of character for Bowness - I think there has to be more to that story. Or maybe there isn't, what do I know?
Funny I thought the same because I never thought of him that way prior. But we can all be an asshole at somepoint. :D
Also read that he said other players told him they were ready, that is a typical cop out to put the blame on others.

I chuckle because playing someone like Raffl or Kiviranta over Tuft wasn't going to make a difference. Also to add when a player has the adrenalin rush playing in front of their hometown they tend to play well.

Looking at the outcome not like they came close to winning or something.

Gretzky did the same thing to Kyle Turris when he was supposed to have his homecoming game in Vancouver.
Like they were anywhere near a playoff spot, or any of the other shit in that lineup was going to be the difference maker.

Wow, nice comeback by the Devils today, down 3-1 after two, score four unanswered goals in the 3rd to win 5-3.

Nice to see Letang successfully use the Paul Coffey defense strategy on Kerfoot and it worked!
