Karlsson's foot is broken I think (it's early and I haven't had caffeine) and they were talking 8 weeks.
I was thinking if Stone is moved to LTIR and Krebs is dealt that covers Eichels contract. Then if Karlsson is moved to LTIR that is strictly funny money for the Knights until they can move Eichel to LTIR.

And always remember all what the Devils did was give Kovalchuk one contract and got penalized but what the Knights are doing is ok?

So much for Buffalo holding firm on four first rounders +++. Now we need to call Buffalo about Krebs.
Well they did get three first rounders if you take into consideration that Tuch and Krebs were both 1st round picks. :D

If Eichel gets the surgery, he will be out around 4 months. Stone will wind up being out the same amount of time. You know what that means...

#2 Bullshit.

And whenever Eichel and Stone come off of LTIR will be very curious where they "find" the cap space.

2022-2023 they only have 6 forwards on the roster with only 12 million less than this season's forwards cap space. Then on defense they only have 4 million less with only 4 d-men on the roster.

Yeah good luck.

looks like it's a done deal:
ESPN said:
The return for Buffalo is Peyton Krebs, Alex Tuch, a future first-round draft pick and a future second-rounder. Vegas will also get a future third-round draft pick as part of the deal.

The first round pick is top 10 protected? This could be a steal for Vegas

What is day 1 of the playoffs? Asking for George McPhee.

As for the future, they will just run a sword through another "core piece" and continue trying to buy a cup.

Oh shit forgot about day 1 of the playoffs! Then next season we will see Pietrangelo magically end up on LTIR and Dadanov/Martinez will end up in Arizona.

Yup. Or Theodore, McNabb and Stephenson wind up in a package for whatever big name isn't happy where they are next year.

Maybe Pietrangelo if they can make him miserable enough to waive his NMC.

All I know is that Gaudreau, Tkachuk, and Mangiapane need new contracts. Brad needs to get to work.

I don’t think this has the impact the writer thinks it has considering the Knights easily won 3 of these trades and were about even on the 4th.

For the Sabres’ sake I do really hope at least one of the pieces they got back turns into something useful for them.

Because right now I’d say that looks about as bad as the ROR trade, and if you told me 4 months ago when they were getting fucking dump trucks of assets for Risto and Reinhart that the Eichel package would be underwhelming I don’t think I would’ve believed it.

If they have no Stone and no Eichel, a few more injuries and I'm not sure the playoffs are in the cards for Vegas. Their division kinda looks like ass though so they might squeak in.

EDIT: Appears Stone isn't out as long term as I thought. Still don't think they are that good this year.

True it is a gamble and if they don't get healthy it is a wasted year. WIth that said I don't see those California teams holding that long so the Knights could easily sneak back in.

No matter what will be very curious how they make this all work next season.
