Nice accomplishment. I know the 76-77 Habs led the league in goals scored and least allowed but I can't find what their PP and PK numbers were.

Congrats on the PT!

I still think the Canucks and Flyers will be in the finals.

they say the last team to lead all categories was 84/85 Isles. I believe someone posted that. but there are still 4 games. I guess there is still a goal to achieve in the regular season that and the art ross

The Canucks have scored the most goals in the NHL (253), allowed the fewest (177) and have recorded the top power-play and penalty-killing percentages (24.7% and 86.6%, respectively). No club in the League's 'expansion era' (since 1967-68) has finished first in each of these categories in a single season.

Its been quite a season so far. Personally I'd be very surprised by an early exit from the Canucks.

last team with best goals for / goals against was the 77 Habs
last team with best powerplay / PK was the 84 Isles.

I don't know if all 4 has been done in modern times.

Ya know, I really want to say that losing Maholtra might just be too much in a lot of areas of playoff hockey, but every top team seems to be struggling in their own way this year. The Canucks are still poised to do some damage, imo.

I was worried about that to.
there was some stats floating around where he was on for so very many defensive zone faceoffs, that allowed Henrik / Kesler to start in the offensive zone much more often.
so far *knock on wood*, we are still winning faceoffs at about 56% since he's been down. 3rd line has kind of been by committee in the past couple of weeks.

and arguably our top defenseman (Edler) is ready to come back in the next few games.

Maybe you didn't need Manny as much as you needed the other guys to learn from Manny. For example, shot blocking in Detroit has been contagious since guys like Miller and Eaves have been around.

good point. these guys have been practicing against him all year.
I know he took Tanner Glass under his wing a bit on the face-offs earlier this season.

so THAT's that game that they are going to shit the bed.

fwiw, OV did not touch the Presidents Trophy last year, and they were a first round bounce.
so let's go another direction.... parade starts at 3, folks don't be late!!
