Remember them all. Was at Faunsworth's years ago after a Capitals game. Brenner was there, drunk as a skunk and at least on that occasion an ass. He went out laid across the hood of a very nice truck owned by former Capital Alan Hangslaben, Hank told Brenner he better get off the truck before he got his ass kicked. Brenner listened.

Brenner and Sonny used to hang out I think it was called the "Dancing Crab" but I never went to see them.

George Michael had a farm up near Seneca on the Potomac. A friend of mine had a farm there too, had several dealings with George and said he was a read a**hole. Have heard that from a few others.

Don't have any poop on Herzog, just remember him as a long time play by play radio guy and CBS sports guy. I would prefer anything to Larry Michael.

The nicest sports caster I ever met was Mike Patrick and also a really nice guy was Ken Beatrice. Doc Walker is a cool guy also.

Frank was very likable as a broadcaster, but he drove me nuts by rarely saying where on the field the ball was.

I'll never forget the iconic moments he had with that championship Bullets team... "Warm up the fat lady!"

It was Dick Motta that started the fat lady bit though, he commented "the opera isn't over until the fat lady sings." BTW you would be fried for making a comment like that today in our PC world.

It was years, like double digit years or close to it. That I watched George Micheal's Sports Machine and didn't know it was coming from DC. I just assumed, I guess, it was based in LA or NY cause I knew it went out nationally. In a lotta ways it was the best sports highlight show on tv.

So I am assuming he died? Wasn't clear from the opening post.

I was going to mention the "warm up the fat lady" comment. Mota coined the phrase, which is still used today, but Frank hit a home run as he yelled it in the closing seconds of the championship game.

No - he appears to be very much alive & doing well. This was posted because of a recent podcast with him. Click on the link to hear the interview which is very good.

I seriously doubt it. Not even baked or sauteed.
