Okoye released

Don't get the timing of this. Was he due a bonus or something? Did he get a bad medical report?


Cowboys released DT Amobi Okoye.
Okoye spent all last season on the reserve/NFI list. He's still recovering from a serious medical condition. Okoye hasn't appeared in a game since 2012.

I'm guessing it's medical related. Must be getting the feeling that Okoye is not going to be able to return to playing shape. If I remember right, Okoye lost a lot of weight and hasn't been able to put it all back on.
