The tradition with couches (my experience) started at a post game party, big win and the statements were along the lines of " this party is going all night and by God NOBODY is gonna be sitting around and not dancing/mingling/passing out/sleeping ect..". The couch was dragged outside and set on fire and boom, a tradition was born.

Man I miss that place. Looks nice now, but I really miss that place. Man I miss that place. Bull Pen, Dr. Johns, then off to Fat Daddy's and always ended up in the Dungeon. Man I miss that place.

My son texted me at 12:11 PM and stated "How about they just announced Oklahoma as a night game and the entire downtown area blew up". I texted "That place will be rocking"; which he replied "It's already rocking now". Sounds as if the student body is FIRED UP already. Couches may be a thing of the past if we come out 3-1 after this game. Need to beat the Terps and keep this powder keg smoldering.

I think the Towson game showed how much the fanbase was fired up...I think we can finally see DH's plan for the program coming together. Still have some work to do this weekend with the twerps.

Sunnyside was the best. The Sunnyside slide was a favorite.

Yeah... I didn't get to participate in that one... had to work. Listened to the game on the radio at work... knew that Sunnyside was going to be wild.

I was there for the next two though... will never forget!

I listened to the first two TDs by Oklahoma, went to Cheat Lake not knowing of the comeback. Went to Sunnyside to get Pizza and while I was there, the crowd gathered. Spontaneous bonfire followed by police in riot gear.

That was my first Sunnyside bonfire.

Penn State 84 was the epic though. 20,000 fans following the goalposts down to Sunnyside, then burning everything in sight. Good time there.
