I think the Dodgers/Cards/maybe Nats will finish ahead of them. I could see the A's finishing with the best record in the AL. The A's were very good in 2012 and 2013. They've had a lot of moves work out in their favor recently (Moss, Colon, Reddick (he was really good in 2012), Crisp, Cespedes, etc.).

Yea I think Dodgers and Cards end up with best records in NL. But the Braves will win the East the gNats are the most overrated team in baseball(Besides the Yankees). Oh and IDK how but A's always find a way to be a good team.

Didn't the Braves start out like this last year too? I think the A's have a great team, but I'm betting Texas ends up catching them by the end of the year. With our injuries and we still are hanging with them, just need to get healthy and will move right ahead of them.

That's why I said so far they are the 2 best teams. Trust me I know exactly how the Braves season is gonna go, We will win the division have high hopes and get knocked out of the playoffs in the 1st round. Happens every year.

yes. Braves cooled off considerably after April, but they still played .500+ ball in May-July and went 20-7 in August. Their worst month was September (13-14).

I do think it's funny how Braves fans think they have the division locked up because they're 5-1 vs. the Nats in April. The Red Sox started out 8-0 vs the Yankees in 2009... how did that work out for them again?

if you don't know the answer: the Yankees won the division by 8 games. And they split the season series against the Sox 9-9.

Hmmm....I think the Dodgers have a clear shot to take the NL West. No other team in that division has the combo of power and pitching like L.A. If they stay healthy, I think they are the clear favorite in the NL. In the AL, nobody at this point stands out as a sure thing. It's great at this point in the season, because even sorry ass Padres fans like myself still see a ray of hope.

The Braves look decent. Their starting rotation really suffered serious setbacks due to injuries.

Oakland, there is something about this team!!! look at there team since 2012, on paper they are at best a 500 team... But then you get players to come out of nowhere like Reddick and moss in 2012, Donaldson last year. And get great years from some hasbeens like coco crisp and bartolo colon, and then you just get 3 years of success... Throw in some nice young pitching into the equation... But if you just took them from there talent and expectation from players only, they are not that good...

Yea and even with injuries our starters have the lowest ERA in the MLB and we haven't even got our best pitcher from last year Mike Minor back yet.

I wonder just how long the best team in baseball will continue to be overlooked? It is funny hearing the opposing teams fans boo Braun as he jacks out home runs to beat them. Don't they think when he gets boo'd that it pumps him up more to want to show them.

The title of this thread is after 20 games who is the best. Well nobody else is playing .750 ball. The Pirates would be 9 - 5 if they had not played the Brewers yet. The Dodgers are 7 - 1 against the worst team in baseball the Diamondbacks and have a losing record against the rest of the league.

Keep overlooking them but at some point you wont be able too.

We might be the best NL regular season team, then I'm sure we'll blow it to STL/LAD again

Our bullpen isn't playing so well right now though

yeah, how does Oakland get these guys to have resurgent careers and out-of-nowhere production but fall on their face when they leave?

You have beat up on Pit and Phillies. The two pretty good teams you played took series from you. MKE looks like a good team, but fuck Braun and the wiener-eaters. :laugh3:

I still think Nats win the East, and i'm as pessimistic of a DC sports fan as they come. Barves and Nats will both get back a great starting pitcher soon (Minor, Fister) but the Nats will get two enormous additions to the lineup in Zimmerman and Ramos in about a month. Nats just need Tyler fucking Clippard to go down with an "injury", that fucker has single-handily cost the Nats 4-5 wins already. Desmond will also not continue to commit errors at a record setting pace
