I'm not throwing in the towel yet...but the needle is starting to lean towards the not-so-good at this point....And yeah, HUGE indication that Pace misjudged what this team needs badly. I cannot believe for one second our team would have been better off with Quinn than a solid lineman on O at this point.

And the value, for a 30 year old DE, who albeit, seemed a safe bet to do well, but still...pretty big contract.

Our o-line sucks, but I have lost all faith in Nagy. I have doubts he'd succeed either way.

It's weird cuz it could be a blessing in disguise. One rock solid O-lineman could be enough to give us that "just enough" oomph on offense. IE: Where we could just not overcompensate on right/left side can change a LOT. However, you're right....at some point Nagy was going to choke this team out of contention...Better we get it out of the way sooner than later...and not learn that lesson at the highest stages.

That's ugly. I've been a Pace defender but this could certainly be his undoing (alongside the failures at QB and OL of course). Can we just put him in charge of rounds 3-7 of the draft and find another GM to do the rest? That might be ideal.

I really have done a 180 on taking guys who have a one year deal to prove themselves and them getting a big contract. Seems they give 100% that year and then fall flat on many occasions.

Quinn being played out of position doesn't help. He's had his best seasons with his hand in the dirt at defensive end. When moved to outside linebacker he's struggled, like now.
