Closing practice to the public in Kelowna...Why?
Kelowna hockey fans hoping to get an early glimpse of Taylor Hall and the rest of the Edmonton Oilers young players are out of luck.
The Oilers rookies and minor league players will practice at Prospera Place Saturday prior to arriving in Penticton for the 'Young Stars Tournament' which begins Sunday.
Saturday will be busy in and around Prospera with the Oilers practice, the annual Kelowna Rockets season ticket holders barbecue and the Rockets pre-season game with with the Kamloops Blazers that evening.
The Oilers also asked that the practice be closed to the public, meaning there will be no access in the arena prior to the exhibition game Saturday night.
