I wonder if the owner's son was among those that quit.

Also I hope this doesn't last. These kids have their hearts in the right place but not their heads. This isn't going to help themselves much and it's not fair to their fans.

Edit - According to TSN the owners son's is indeed protesting with the other players.

i'm surprised the OHL doesn't have rules in place that prevent owner's kids from playing on the same team that he owns. would prevent the exact situation that is happening

maybe in the short term.

not sure what this will do in the long term though. will players still want to come there to play? will nhl teams still want their prospects to play there

I would think yes. The team had some issues between players/coaches/owners. That's nothing new to the world of sports. Maybe it will lead to some rules about nepotism though.

Has Michael Moore secured the movie rights to this story?

Takes me back to mid 2000s when the so-called Cardboard King of California (Michael Feterik) purchased the Calgary Stampeders in order to give his son an opportunity to play professional football. What a disaster that turned out to be (thankfully that only lasted about 3 seasons or so).
