DL. Terrance Knighton and Kedic Golston are FAs. Golston can leave but I wouldn't be opposed to resigning Knighton. NT FA options are BJ Raji (29), Ahtyba Rubin (29). All about equal so I would look at price...The draft is about equally appealing at NT. AShaun Robinson is the one NT that may not be bad here because he may really be a DE. The only FA that screams my name is Muhammed Wilkerson (27). The man is a flat out beast and will get paid but is an option that would cause havoc with Smith and Kerrigan. I won't be surprised at all if our first rounder is a DE between Robinson, Deforest Buckner (who really intrigues me), and a host of others.

OLB- Junior Galette is our only FA and I wouldnt resign him. FA looks like garbage at the position so stay young. I doubt we look early in the draft to upgrade the position.

ILB- Keenan Robinson, Will Compton, and Mason Foster are all FAs. I am not against resigning any or all of them because they are all 26 and will be cheap but this is also the position I see as the least talented on the roster...Free agent options include Vincent Rey (I would pass), Rolando McClain (26), and Danny Trevathon(25)...This is where I want to go in the draft. I am for Reggie Ragland in the first. The real question is who is going to take a shot at Jaylon Smith though.

CB- maybe our most interesting position. Will Blackmon is our only FA and he can stay or go. Everything at this position hinges on Culliver for me. I really like Breeland who will cost money to retain in the future and I am a big fan of Dunbar. I would avoid big money free agents like Norman and Amukamara but would consider Casey Hayward (26)...I don't like any of the names atop the draft board either. I like quite a few options in round 3 and lower, James Bradberry.

S- Duke is our only FA and I would not mind signing him back and actually get on the field. There just isn't a lot of young talent out there in FA...I fully expect this to be where our second round pick goes. As of today, it will be Jeremy Cash or Jayron Kearse.

Well, we have quite a difference of opinion on a number of free agents to be, and current players on the roster.

For starters, in another thread you thought Griffin could get a first round pick, that he'd probably get a second round pick, and that you'd settle for a third round pick. There is just no way on god's green Earth that RG3 is going to get anything above a 6th. None, whatsoever.

Secondly, Gallette already has a Redskins tattoo on his bicep, and is quoted as saying that GMSM is "getting him excited for next year," already, so he will definitely be back.

Compton and Foster are must resigns, if for no other reason than excellent competition. Riley can go. Robinson can go too, unless he resigns cheaply. Free agents McClain is no better than Compton, and Trevathon is shorter than London Fletcher, with half the skills. Pass.

Duke should maybe be resigned, but who knows? Has he played in a regular season game for the redskins yet?

The pass rush wore down because we couldn't substitute. The defense was ill prepared for this game. We were middle of the road in pass rush this season without Gallette and we had a rookie with about nine sacks, a second year starter, and Kerrigan coming back from injury with 9.5. I expect our young guys to get better and Smith to be a full time starter next season. Gallette will be coming back from injury and his best days were hardly better than our situational rookie. I am not opposed to resigning Gallette to a very team friendly deal but I think you need to give our guys a bit more credit. If you want more pass rush, improve the interior.

What?????? I think Preston Smith needs to bulk up and take Hatchers spot Gallette needs to come back and man the other side of Kerrigan now that would be a hell of a passrush

I just believe there are people out there like stymie who see potential in him still...and he can sell jerseys.

I am not opposed to Gallette at a very team friendly deal. I just don't think he supplies nearly what you guys do to this team.

McClain is much better than Compton and Foster. I also think you may want to look again at the 6'1" Trevathon. You must have him confused with somebody else. He is also much better in coverage than LFB was.

I want to resign Duke because he is cheap and there just aren't good options out there.

Junior Galette is back running now, doing short sprints. Will be full go in March. Says he plans on signing longterm deal here

OK while I got to show love and respect for his confidence in resigning with the team long term.... as a player getting a team logo tattoo is kinda like getting a girls name after one date. ON the off chance that you end up marrying Lisa, you are going to have a hard time explaining away Nichole tatto'ed across your heart.

Let me get this straight...you want our rookie (led NFL rookies in sacks) who had 8 sacks in part time work, whose biggest weakness is stopping the run, to bulk up and move inside...so we can put Galette, coming off an injury, on the outside as an inferior pass rusher?

Also, didn't Preston Smith lead the league in sacks the last quarter of the season?

And what is with people thinking Galette is so great? Has anybody ever looked at the situations he got HS sacks? Every multi sack game he had was in a blow out. He had 12 sacks in 2013 and 10 in 2014...Rob Ryan was also fired. Are we also sure the league is done going after him for his of the field behavior?

If Smith gains a few pounds or bulks up in Muscle he will be the same size as Hatcher and Galette is legit I have seen him play

I would look at Trevathon. Young and just a nose for the ball it seems. Very active, has a little injury bug in him though. I think he'd jump from Denver to get a definite starting gig even though he gets almost starter type snaps in Denver.

He is the starter in Denver.

So Smith isn't legit?

He would need to gain at least 20 pounds of muscle. You don't think that would cost him quickness? You do understand there is a difference between a DE in a 3-4 and a 4-3.

He is the starter in Denver.

My bad, he starts, but he wasn't always left on the field for nickel/dime snaps. I think early on as he was recovering from one of his injuries that might have been the case. I only really follow snap counts when I analyze the games (mainly for IDP purposes).

I'd also love to see some better safety play. I'm always jealous of how deep and talented Arizona's secondary is in recent years. I think with health the Skins might have a pretty good secondary, but hard to determine since guys were in and out of the lineup so often.
