This is a big game, Nebraska is trying to get a lot of players in for this Saturday. A lot of the current commits and a lot of the targets in together at the same time. Don't be surprised to see new names added on this list before Saturday. So who's coming? Take a gander:
Nick Henrich (4-Star, LB) [Omaha, NE] - Henrich is already committed but he will be with fellow Burke star and top target Chris Hickman at the game working on his teammate to join him in Lincoln. (more on that later)
Marcus Washington (4-Star, WR) [Saint Louis, MO] - A very important target especially considering Nebraska lost Dominick Watt from he 2018 class this season. Washington is one of the best WRs in the country and is neighboring state Missouri... also, Nebraska has been trying to make in-roads to St. Louis for some time now. If the Huskers can show Washington a good time and get him to commit that would send waves around the recruiting world as he's already visited Ohio State and has offers from Georgia, Missouri, Oregon and a host of other big name programs.
Luke McCaffrey (4-Star, QB) [Littleton, CO] - Already a Nebraska commit, it isn't a bad idea to get the QB commit in your class around your top two current skill-position targets in Marcus Washington and Chris Hickman.
Chris Hickman (4-Star, TE) [Omaha, NE] - The last of the major in-state targets to fall in to place. It wasn't too long ago that Nebraska looked like they would be on the outside looking in with both Henrich and Hickman but strong recruiting in state with Ruud, Frost and Beckton has made locking down the boarders a real possibility. Getting Hickman on campus this early shows the Huskers want to get Hickman in this class ASAP.
Jackson Hannah (3-Star, OLB) [Nashville, TN] - Hannah is a real talent and nabbing him out of SEC country was huge. Getting him around Henrich should further that bond and keep him invested. Also, getting as many commits together for the uncommitted players to interact with (especially Washington and
Hickman) is a big deal.
Jamie Nance (3-Star, WR) [Blanchard, OK] - Another Nebraska commit, Nance will definitely be excited to see the new offense. We'd like a good showing just in case Oklahoma comes calling.
Michael Lynn (3-Star, OT) [Englewood, CO] - It's big to get the Colorado players in for the game against Colorado. If Nebraska can win, and especially if the win looks easy. The in-state school has literally no shot.
Javon Wright (3-Star, CB) [Chandler, AZ] - Nebraska needs defensive backs in this class and they really like Wright's versatility. At 6'3" he can play anywhere on the field and he has the fluidity to play corner. He's has offers from the who's who of Pac-12 schools (UCLA, Washington, ASU) but seems settled on either Nebraska or UCLA at the moment.
Jamal Starks (3-Star, ATH) [Decatur, GA] - Nebraska continues to try to make in roads to Georgia having already nabbed Ronald Thompkins from the state and working on Owen Pappoe to reconsider as well. Starks is electric and perfect for Nebraska's Duck-R position. He's likely a space behind Wandale Robinson but this staff doesn't like to wait around for a kid to make a decision either. If they think the talent is close, they'll take Starks and tell Wandale that he had his shot.
