I'm starting to think sheridan source is LeBron agent. There were only 4 people in that room so how the hell would he know what was said in the meeting?

The source didn't have to be in the room... It could be someone close to LeBron. You don't think LeBron communicated with his inner circle how the meeting went?

He was reporting this before the meeting was over. Has to be the agent.

LeBron cares a lot more about his teammates than who is in the front office.

I'm sure he's done his research on the coach. I think Blatt would be appealing to him because, hey, it's a coach with an actual offensive system

It's also weird that nobody else feel the same way. Usually when you're legit other writers/reporters would actually retweet or at least comment on it. Not one other person is even acknowledging his reports.....that's odd

Makes sense....except for the fact that Riley was in the room.
If he thought he was fucked, do you think for 1 second he would be worried about ruining the timing of James' announcement?

He would have walked out of the room, called Bosh and told him exactly what was up.
Then he would have tried his best to convince him that he would now be the #1 option and that with Wade, the players they have, and the cap space they have....that they could still be good enough to win the East.

I didn't realize that. Still, If the agent could be communicating from the meeting so could anyone else.

Also, didn't Sheridan report that the purpose of the meeting was to inform the Heat he was gone and that certain Heat personnel weren't allowed? If that's true.... People in Lebrons circle would know that before the meeting happened.

It had to be the agent. Damn sure wasn't pat or the heat assistant gm and pretty sure LeBron wouldn't be texting ppl while meeting with Miami. It was his agent

No one really has any source outside of his agent and if they can get something out of anyone in his inner circle. Pretty much EVERYONE is going off of whatever they think they can read from the tea leaves

Could be that his intention was to go to Cleveland before the meeting, but that Riley was able to change his mind or at least cause him to reconsider.

except none of that happened. He never told them he was leaving, so it HAS to be the agent.

The thing about Sheridan I keep thinking about is this......

Smart people are never sure of anything because they realize there's a LOT they don't know.

Idiots are sure about everything. He's ADAMANT and almost belligerent now in his reporting that Lebron is going to Cleveland, like he has a personal stake in it.

At this point he better be right.

If it was already a done deal before the meeting, there would be no reason to text anyone during it.

There would also be no reason to just not say where you are going...either way.

HE KNOWS. He calls the shots, not his wife.

She can spend his money from any city in the world.

Could be. If it's really Cleveland he should of just announced it yesterday

Name one valid reason why he wouldn't have said a few days ago:

" I need to speak with front office personal from X teams, which I intend to do on X day, and then after getting those facts I'll think it through and announce my decision"?

LeBron has always been a closed book with regards to these decisions. I am starting to think that he had a plan, but now something has happened to derail it and he is not sure what to do anymore.

Still though, for the the agony this is causing now, Heat fans have to admit that LeBron's handling of this is 1,000,000 times better than Melo, Howard, or any of the other stars who have allowed free agent speculation to affect their team's performance on the court. LeBron refuses to discuss it, and that is a good thing overall.
