I cant believe Oduya went for that much..B'Hawks def overpaid for em..Preds and Canucks came out to be the big winners today. The West is really stacked right now.

Yea, and we got squat except for an old, overpaid defensive liability like we didnt have enough of those already! Why can we never improve at the deadline? I think the first order of business for whoever our new owner will be should be to tell Lou to GTFO and allow some new blood to run this team!

We never improve at the deadline because we are usually on fire every deadline... it never fails, we go on some 10-2 or 12-3 run right at trade time and Lou sees this and think we are gonna carry that into the post season and then we start playing like the last three games.... They take that, not broke dont fix it attitude and we think we are okay until we get exposed in the playoffs year after year (or miss it like last year....)

Hopefully this will be different... I think this team could do some damage in the playoffs this year... but they gotta get back on track... that is up to the coach to get this team ready... we will see....

yeah vort i agree its amazing how every deadline we are on a run. i like the zid move there really isnt much more out there that we could use. we will see what happens...we know what the team can bring hopefully they start the playoffs off on that hot note and can ride it through

You can't say we don't make moves though. The Kovy trade happened prior to the deadline. This year the Ponikarovsky trade, Bernier signing happend prior to the deadline and we traded for Zids. You don't make a move just for the sake of making a move. Lou has stated this year, and it really is our best option, is to get healthy. Add Zajac and Tallinder and those are 2 additions that are probably better than what was out there this year.

yeah the devils do usually make 1 move a year just not at the deadline. the top 2 lines are set and the 3rd line with ponzi scheme is locked up. only question is really sykora hopefully he can get those legs moving come playoff time. maybe some more depth there would help? who knows maybe if we lock up a playoff spot sit him a couple games?

Yeah Sykora is one guy I would look to demote or have someone play in his place.

Hemsky would be fun to watch IMO. But likely? perhaps not.

That's why, I wouldn't really want to move Elias to wing since he's played well, but I like a line of Elias-Zajac-Clarkson better than Sykora-Elias-Clarkson.
