Honestly really excited about this one. Got to go to the practice round yesterday and the course is in phenomenal shape. The greens are surprisingly receptive but there are spots you can absolutely end up dead in. Going to be out there Friday and Saturday as well with my dad. Great father's day weekend planned.

Got money on Scottie, Brooks, and Viktor.

I like the coverage of the clubhouse and surrounds... gives me the chance to point out the places where we had drinks... did a lot of pointing... haven't seen the Nest yet but was great seeing Thistle Dhu and the Cradle.
@foster4prez ... I remember your acct of first drive on #2... lol... good stuff.

I've played #2, #4, and #8 as well as the Cradle. Beautiful courses, the greens on #2 the day I played were like putting on hardwood floors. Look forward to watching it.

Very strange that the 9th hole would be a par 3 on a top echelon course
Pinehurst has been around for more than 120 years. Thy played the Open there in 1901, there's nothing like it. Nothing about it is cookie cutter. I shot a 109 there and I was happy with it.

it's not cheap to play there. The Pinehurst Resort offers a variety of stay-and-play packages ranging from $1,688 for a two-night stay to $6,254 per person for a four-night stay.

That's not all, though. If you don't purchase the Premium Golf Package (it already includes a round at Pinehurst No. 2), there will be a $250 premium for adding No. 2 to your itinerary. Most packages include golf, accommodations and meals.

And don't forget about the caddies! Caddie fees are $80 per player and $40 for forecaddies, plus Pinehurst recommends a $60 tip per bag for caddies and $35 for forecaddies.

It looks as if it may not be as severe as they predicted... already 3 guys are -4 with only a couple holes left. I love the early coverage today on USA. I wish they could do that for all of the majors.

Scheffler has missed the first 3 fairways. That may be some sort of record for him. The fairways there are pretty generous too.

What makes the course so tough is the ball will run off the fairways into the waste areas while your back where you hit it admiring your shot. This will be the easiest day.

and you've got to stay to play everything except #1, #3, #5 and the Cradle. We stayed, played #4, #8, #1 and the Cradle. One of the best aspects of the resort's packages is the breakfast... I should say the BREAKFAST... never seen anything like it... we barbarians tore that place up.

It was tough to watch Koepka collapse in the last six holes after such a solid start

The green complexes are just stupid.. that's 1 famous public course I've no interest in playing.

One of the best players I know who played in the National Club Champions tournament there told me it was almost impossible to get up and down from off the greens

Soooo sick of all of the fawning over Tiger... "there's no quit in him!".. "he always runs through the tape!".. like he deserves a medal because he didn't burst into tears and go running off the course because he isn't playing as well as he thinks he should. Just stop it.

His putting was horrible again. I know these greens are hard, but he missed 6-10 footers every time they showed him playing.
