We all know that one of them is going to be cut once Ross gets back, or at least hopefully they do so that Belt doesn't get sent down. Ross is a pretty big defensive improvement out there, but I'm wondering what would happen in a very probably yet, optimistic scenario. Thomas Neal is starting in AAA this year, which should make his numbers look much better, since as many of us have noticed, he was way better on the road than at home in AA.
Suppose that the Giants axe one of Nate or Rowand when Ross gets back, and Neal gets off to an incredible start. I think that he'd be a top prospect if he can gain a little more strike zone recognition and improve his BB:K rate, so lets say that happens. He's still going strong around June and the Giants are in the thick of things, what do they do then? Do they package Neal for a good ML ready SS, or do they bring him up and get rid of whichever of Nate/Rowand is still around? I'm asking because I think it's fairly likely to happen, and I'm wondering what everybody else makes of this.
