Well looks like the Broncos gave you a very nice birthday present! So who's B-day is next week? The Broncos came through for Crash on his Birthday week and now for Mingo. If the Broncos make it to the Super Bowl it will be my daughter's 1st birthday the week of the Super Bowl so we have that one covered.

I also want to know - why it was that the Broncos with 4.30 on the clock - abandoned the run game on that series? It was the mix of run and pass that kept the pass rush off Oz -and the run was breaking very well. It would also been prudent to give the Bronco D a blow and to keep Brady off the field.

I think Kubiak viewed it as if they passed at that point that if it failed they would still get another shot at the football. Where if they run good chance it is that drive or bust. I agree though with how the run game was working I would have just rather taken my chances with keeping with a very balanced offense.

The trouble with that answer is that it means that Kubiak doesn't trust his run game. I was thinking it was wrong headed while I watched it happen.

I don't think it shows he didn't trust his run game. I think he just played the odds game that 2 drives gives you a better chance to score than just one. It is a calculated risk that thankfully we ended up winning. But I am like you in I would rather just stick with what has been working and just see how it plays out.

I was really surprised that on the last TD in regulation we were running our O out of an empty backfield. I was hoping for a run or two to see if we could drain some of the clock rather than give TB 1:10 to get into field goal position.

All decisions we would have been second guessing if we had lost.
