Wheeler got 2 quick outs in the 3rd, then surrendered b2b walks and an infield hit to load the bases...but struck out the next guy on only 3 pitches. His pitch count is getting up there though.

Mets did Arrieta a huge favor in the 4th by going down 1-2-3 on just 6 pitches.

I guess they can't wait to get to St. Louis......lol

Update....

Mets INF Jed Lowrie will start taking live batting practice at the team's spring complex in Port St. Lucie, Florida. Lowrie has been sidelined by a left knee sprain.
OF Brandon Nimmo wasn't in the lineup after leaving with neck stiffness Tuesday night. .... RHP Jacob deGrom, the reigning NL Cy Young Award winner, has strep throat and his next start will be pushed back from Friday to Saturday.
