Oh, and Nugent is very average. But "terrible" and "sucks" is pushing it.

I thought Jeff Faine was an instant upgrade and pro-bowl caliber center. How could we cut such a special talent?

He looked great v. the Ravens...then he slowly turned into Eric Ghiaciuk. I wonder if they will bench Robinson with Cook coming back. I think Robinson has played extremely well. Not sure if he deserves to lose that spot.

Another player who has had the fortune of playing most of his games against bad defenses.

I'd like to see how he holds against Pittsburgh and Baltimore before saying he's earned the spot.

I'd say the Giants and Chiefs both have decent players on the D-Line and he performed well against them. He also helped the running game against San Diego - A team that had done pretty well against the run this year (though losing key players probably didn't help against us).

I agree that Pittsburgh and Baltimore are in a different class, so it's probably premature to judge him right now.

I really hate for a guy to lose his job because of an injury. However, I think Robinson has afforded Cook the chance to recover 100% before being put on that field. They should 50/50 the snaps during the week until Cook is 100% right.

I'll give you that. Considering he's on the d-line it's a little different than if he were in the secondary or even a linebacker. Though I can't say I'm familiar enough with any of those teams to know if they have good tackles. I do know that the Giants and especially Chiefs are stronger on the outside.

I never thought Cook was all that good anyway. I agree we'll learn more about Robinson vs the Steelers and Ravens. Both are awesome at nt.
