that Scott Burnside is a hack, but let's add more fuel to the fire...The following is from his twitter account.

Shocking that Canada pounded Norway. The divide between Can/US and the rest is as great as it is in womens' hockey. In short. A joke.

Did this guy not watch Sweden beat Canada? Or Finland taking the US to overtime?

Hating on Scott Burnside for me is a tradition as important as throwing octopi on the ice at Red Wings games, always applauding the Cup no matter who wins it, and shaking hands after a playoff series.

I totally agree about Burnside being a hack, but even still I have a tough time believing he really wrote that. If so, he's completely lost it.

It's my assertion that some of these "journalists" use Twitter to troll in order to generate web hits - Scott Burnside, Damien Cox, and Dan Tencer (Oilers beat writer) are three that come to mind. Cox has deleted tweets that have got him and the Toronto Star into a bit of a mess (i.e. you should watch what you tweet when going after a lawyer).

I read his articles just to see how much worse he can get - and each time he doesn't disappoint.

His recent "work" from the Winter Classic really cemented his place as maybe the worst "journalist" of our lifetime...
