Voting is just a way to end the draft, it doesn't really mean anything yet some people can't help but cry about it. I won with Miami just as about 90% of you would have, it doesn't make me feel like i'm somehow better than anybody at this. I really see no reason to continue doing these now as the chat has all but vanished compared to the first 4 or 5 years and I don't wanna continue hurting the feelings of the sensitive.

Having said that you guys were awesome this year, thank you for being so active.

I wouldn’t be opposed to changing up the voting next year. A two-part voting.

Part One: The same we have always done. Top 5 voting.
Part Two: After year one of the rookie class, we create some sort of tally system for value of picks. I think this system will still benefit the teams with higher qualify picks but that's just the way things will always be. This chart can balance things though and you can only use up to maybe 5-7 top picks.

Maybe something like....You get to use your top 5 picks...or top 7 picks

1st round picks - 5 points for All-Pro. 3 Pro Bowl
2nd round picks - 10 points for All-Pro. 6 Pro Bowl
3rd round picks - 15 points for All-Pro. 9 Pro Bowl
4th round picks - 20 points for All-Pro. 12 Pro Bowl
5th round picks - 25 points for All-Pro. 15 Pro Bowl
6th round picks - 30 points for All-Pro. 18 Pro Bowl
7th round picks - 35 points for All-Pro. 21 Pro Bowl

If you're implying that I'm crying, over what? SportsHoopla imaginary bookie bucks? I've never used them. I just love the process.

What we've done is go back and look at our draft from the previous year just to see how those players did.

As far as this draft...the top 5 vote is good enough imo. I think it's tough to really know that many teams needs, who was on the board when the picked, etc.

It depends on what the mock is supposed to be. Are we supposed to be picking the best players possible, or trying to mimick what our team will do? So many ways to evaluate. Points for picking the right position, bonus points for the right player, etc.

Yeah, I just looked for prospects that I liked in each teams' draft and good value (if I could remember, lol).

Voting right now is really just giving points for someone who shared your player evaluations, especially when you want votes in immediately. Are we going to do a reassessment after the draft, see where the value picks really were and who nailed positions/players with their picks?

I do that for the Steeler draft just for shits and giggles but for this one...top 5 is fine.

Yeah that's why we vote the way we do bc it would be so difficult to evaluate any other way other than just simply comparing from our mock to the real draft (like some do after the NFL draft) and even then we are just counting value by spots drafted + or -

Nailed one of the players and both positions with Minny's two 1st round picks. Was surprised to see Gladney go ahead of Diggs, but Vikes probably want no part of the Diggs family now thanks to the drama queen Stefon.
