Chiefs

1.29 : Nasir Adderley - S - Delaware
2.61 : Justin Layne - CB - Michigan St.
2.63 : David Montgomery - RB - Iowa St.
3.92 : Charles Omenihu - DE - Texas
5.167 : David Long - LB - West Virginia
6.201 : Paul Adams - OL - Missouri

Nasir Adderley is pretty commonly mocked to the Chiefs in rd1 for a bunch of reasons so that seemed like a good place to start. Eric Berry and Eric Murray have both been cleared off the roster and the Chiefs were rumored to be heavily interested in pairing Honey Badger with Earl Thomas. Nasir is commonly seen as the top safety prospect so that pick is pretty easy to make if its there.

Justin Layne is in the 2nd tier of CB prospects so he isn't a steal or anything. He is fairly raw with lots of athletic upside and I do feel like the Chiefs did just enough in the offseason to wait until rd2 to grab someone like that. Its usually pretty difficult to project Michigan St CBs because they're usually super grabby because of how demanding their system is on CBs but Layne tries to win more on speed and length. Just not sure his football IQ is there yet but when you draft you have to trust your coaches.

Montgomery is hard a bit hard to judge just based on how much burst you think he actually has. The problem with the Kareem Hunt comparison is that Hunt lost weight in his transition to the NFL and that gave him that speed burst that he needed. You see the combine Vert numbers and Hunt has a huge advantage over Montgomery although Montgomery does have a better broad. The combine would suggest that Montgomery's player comparison is actually closer to James Conner. Then you realize that James Conner is still a really good football player so this is pretty much a slam dunk for the Chiefs.

Omenihu is someone who seems like he checks all of the boxes but doesn't really have a 'wow' factor to him. Good technician and he is the type of position flexible pass rusher that Spagnuolo would ideally try to get. Seems like a guy you can rotate into games with a few reps and them maybe later plugs in spots if anyone gets injured. If he works on his core strength then maybe he could be special.

David Long is a value pick. They just signed Damien Wilson and they have Dorian O'Daniel so there would be some stiff competition at that spot but I would also say that there isnt a concrete starter at that position, either.

Paul Adams is more of a joke pick but he could honestly go rd5 or rd6 IRL just due to his physical attributes. Ultimately he is a great pick on the Chiefs as interior depth. Almost every single Mizzou OL ends up at Center at some point and Reid seems to really like interior linemen with length and mobility so this is a surprisingly decent fit.

Out visiting my brother in law in Cali who is a big KC fan...knows very little about CFB so I was just giving him the positions that you picked and he gave it a thumbs up.

Walter football's site is an ad-infested dump. I would advise looking elsewhere.

Didn’t expect to take two RBs for the Bengals. But hard to pass on Hill and Higdon where I grabbed them at.
