I had him as a 3rd-4th round guy

mixed reviews i was finding... On Walterfootball, Walter had him in the 4th round but Charlie had him in the 2nd round...

On NFL.com, he is given a 6.1 grade, which is tied in the top 25... and also has him as the 13th best DL, which of course includes DE and DT...

All that means nothing, but it is interesting that he has such mixed reviews...

But i took him with the knowledge the Jets don't exactly need him...

Why so? We had Spriggs on our board in the 2nd round...several guys ahead of him that were need, but he's a starting caliber T.
Im not very high on Spriggs. Great athlete with lots of potential, though. I just see 'athlete tackle' and think Jason Smith and I think it makes me biased.

Fuck you taking Martin a great center. LOL. You got 1 more pick I believe to make still.
i was shocked he was there. i feel he is the best center in the draft and the strongest. with my 2nd pick i went with talent. before the year Fuller was ranked as a shut down CB and top 2 CB. i willtake my chance with a MCL. not that bad of an injury.

Karl Joseph was a great pick. I wouldnt mind if the Skins took him in the 1st in real life.

I almost took Joseph in 2nd round for Redskins after I asked someone ^^^ their opinion then went with Nos's suggestion of taking Bell over Joseph. It's a toss up to me and to many so called experts on the order of safety. Bell is ranked high in ESPN, but not so high in Walter Football. It's the exact opposite for Joseph who is ranked high in Walter but not as high in ESPN. Only time will tell on how these kids play.

One of the best highlight reels you'll see. Not a lot of size but he can really tackle and is the most scheme versatile DB.

This is an interesting way to view the safeties:

WalterFootball.com: Position Review - Safeties

Joseph is a guy that will do a little bit of everything. My only worry with him is if he'll stay healthy at the NFL level. The crazy thing is that I only had 8 players on my board in between my first round pick and my 2nd round pick so I think he is a steal at the end of the 2nd round hence the bpa pick. I really wanted to pick a different player who also shouldn't still be available but BPA won out.

PFF actually does the best job at breaking down the NFL fit of player. The rest of the analysis can be hit or miss but when PFF says your S is really a 4-3 weakside OLB or a Strong Safety its helpful. Like Walterfootball, PFF sys Joseph can play either S position. Draftek also shows ideal positions and secondary positions but I dont think their big board is all that great.
