Have to have someone to block those guys...
I had Stanley 7th on my big board so getting him at 9 is pretty solid imo

Bosa wouldve been a great pick for ATL, but he definitely fits in Baltimore too. Both scheme wise and as a need. Plus he was probably BPA.

So many teams play hybrid fronts now that a good DL player should be able to play pretty much anywhere if the DC is flexible.

That said...the Ravens play mostly a 3-4 base...where would you play Bosa in that scheme? Rhetorical...he's
gotta play DE or OLB.

I'm going to stop saying idt he can't play those positions, but he played mostly as a hand on the ground 4-3 DE in college.

Playing at 275ish lining him up as a 3-4 DE against 320 OG...by midseason he's going to look like roadkill...imo he has to bulk up some to play that spot...OLB...maybe he's athletic enough to do it, but I didn't see much of that at OSU...maybe they tweak it in BAL and it works out.

Why wouldn't he be able to do whatever Suggs has been doing all of this time?

I agree with this assessment on Bosa. I feel he is best suited for a 4-3 team and not a 3-4.
Also I disagree with Bucs pick of Stanley. Where are you playing him? Bucs took a LT Donovan Smith last year so I don't see a need to take another LT in the first round. It wasn't a horrible pick because you always need a great OL to protect Winston but I would have went DT. Top needs for Bucs were CB, S, DE, DT, C and they addressed all but DT in free agency. Sorry @wlk3 for my assessment. (Remember I am from Florida :D)

Stanley has experience at RT as well as LT. You can never have enough good blockers

Well...I'm backing off the "can't do" theme I've had...idk. I'm just not that comfortable picking a player that high and putting them in a scheme that does not appear to be a great fit. In terms of Suggs...he adjusted well, size wise, OLB fits...24th all time sack leader...had they played him at a DE...he probably wouldn't have half the sack total he has now.

I actually would play Smith at RT and Stanley at LT. Once again I'm not saying it was a horrible pick but I would have picked someone who fit the team need more.
