15 million on average. Need to see how it breaks down because we all know those last years are usually loaded and he won't see that money. I'm down with the signing.

I'd love to finish the secondary with Karl Joseph....

5yr $75 million I feel is to much for a player who only has had 1 great season. I hope he continues to do well. Scared we over paid for him.

I think thats a pretty fair deal for a damn good corner of his quality

Definitely feel you on that, but the Skins had the means and Norman seems more legit than the other past big ticket free agents.

A lot of money guaranteed but its a position that sorely needed filling. We just got better.

50 mill guaranteed.

Devil is in the details.

Need to see what those guarantees are and how the contract is mapped out.

To me he hasn't shown that he can play as a dominate corner back for a few years in a row. He only had 1 good year and that was last year his contract year. Only played 2 out his 4 seasons a full 16 games. Only has a total of 7 int's for a player we just gave $75mill. Hey I am not saying he isn't a good player but I'm worried we over paid him and he wont be worth that $$$. As Skins we know about over paying for 1 hit wonders.

50 mill guaranteed was a shock to me. It was projected that he would get 35-40M guaranteed. We all knew he wanted 15M per season. Im happy we got him. If Cully comes back for week 1 we are super strong at CB right now.

can't hide your flaws as much for corners. You're on an island. Plus Norman wasn't a star 1st rounder. He was an under recruited corner that has made the most of his talent. I think starting as a rookie then getting benched as Carolina signed big name free agents to start over him made him work harder. He took over second half of 2014 and continued in 2015. There is certainly risk, but I like his attitude and seemingly hard work ethic.

Same. This deal scares me but if they draft Joseph and gallette comes back strong we could go from a weak defense to a strong one real quick. Kirk keeps his form and bam we're a damn good team.

SO, Im curious to see what other moves we made to facilitate this signing. IM fine with the face value, even the $50 million guaranteed. As has been mentioned, if Culliver is kept around and comes back healthy, on paper our secondary just got better.

Now if we can address safety and the D-line... the defense might have the talent to be something to talk about. Give any coach enough studs and even Joe Barry cant fuck up but so much. :D

thanks cali. I know you will be all over this.

So Norman, Breeland, Cully, Dunbar, Toler, And Blackmon. Do you guys think Cully will be released now? Or does Blackmon get released?
