huh. come back from putting my kid to bed, and was wondering how come Sportscenter was on.
Congrats Sharks fans.... didn't see this one coming. (well, I kinda did in post 41)

Howard's stinkers were the difference.

I said before the playoffs that I hoped Osgood would start in the postseason. That way at least if he sucked and got pulled, it would look like Detroit just wasn't up to it this year, no matter which goalie they used.

Now Howard's got an entire summer to think about his fuckups. Not a good situation for a rookie goalie.

should the pens not advance, i'm pulling for the sharks. their fan base has suffered immensely. i know that it was at the old place, but i did call it at the beginning of the playoffs. something along the lines of "if there were a year the sharks could make it far, it's gonna be this year because they are flying under the radar. not the BEST team in the league for once, but still fantastic." obviously they were still awesome all year, but not being THE BEST for once, almost gave them a break.

Posty, Eddie and JonnyTata, you guys are some seriously classy, awesome fans. After the crap you've had to put up with with the Refs, I respectfully and sincerely tip my hat. I'm not proud of how the Sharks have gotten this far, but I am thankful.....as weird as that sounds.

I am proud. They've worked hard. If you get the calls, you get the calls. The Sharks have gotten some calls no question. But as I've said before (and I know you know this too) the Sharks are working so much harder than I've ever seen them before. The Sharks got nothing done on the power play, Detroit's penalty killing was fabulous tonight, but the Sharks were still able to grind and find a way to tie the game and then win in OT. Like I mentioned earlier, how many people really thought the Sharks would even come back to force OT let alone win it? I'm guessing the number rhymes with hero. Joe Pavelski being a monster in the playoffs. Joe Thornton finally, finally, finally looking like he understands that he's a go to guy in the playoffs and is actually working hard to make stuff happen and Patty and Heatley turning up their games against an opponent where that needed to happen. The D picking each other up and the 3rd and 4th lines just being solid and relentless. And finally Nabby shutting down the Wings for the last 38 minutes of games 2 and 3 after giving up 3 goals before that in each game. The Sharks are working hard and finally putting everything in the playoffs for once. Beneficial calls aside, I'm so proud of how this team is hustling right now.

Anyway, I apologize for my sort of rant, rambling or whatever. It's just that's something I've wanted to say for 5 years now and this is the first time I've ever actually been able to do it.

thanks PUcky, but this series is long from over.....I hope the Sharks players realize this. I am happy tonight though.
