I'm just curious here, do other DC interview with the owners all day? Does Robert Kraft spend the day interviewing potential candidates or does BB handle that?

As for Fangio I hear he is tight with Shanny. That and a concern that his reputation could be hurt due to the lack of talent here tells me he will pass.

I doubt Kraft spends all day with candidates, but probably does meet the final candidate. I have to believe the hang up is due to fangio's desire to be a HC soon. That has to give every team pause.

So other owners meet the final candidates as kind of a check in while Snyder spends the entire day with them. And we are to believe this is Gruden's decison alone?

So is it Chicago and Washington or does he have other interviews?

Did anyone ever believe that it's gruden's decision alone? I sure didn't. They may all say that jay make the final decision but you can bet that he will be influenced as to which way to go.

It has been reported that Fangio has no other interviews scheduled at this time.

Lol'looks'like are breaking news tweeter guys suck.

Maybe that is a good sign that they are a bit more tight lipped over at Redskins Park. Hope so. It is not going to kill anyone to have to wait a few more days to find out the outcome on some of these decisions.

Now, Canfora is tweeting that Fangio has decided to join Chicago.

I saw something similar.
Looks like he really is using this as a stepping stone to be a head coach.
We need to move on to someone else.

On to the next then. Still no to Joe and Raheem. Scwartz, Wade, Donatell(if he decides not to team with Fangio), or Pendergast

Dealbreaker appears to be that Fanzio wanted to bring Ed Donatali with him as DB coach. Donatali is expected to join Fanzio in Chicago.

We may have a pretty good GM but we are being setup to fail this was a poor hire and looking like this is turning into Bruce Allen and friends show Phillips would've been a better hire then this

I actually believe that there as some sort of in-house tug of war going on, but not sure who's making the call on hires at this point. We were told that the HC would hire his staff, but it seems like more of the same to me.

from what i have gathered , the skins offered him the highest paid DC contract in the nfl . what more can you do ? really

i think fangio also wants to be an HC too so perhaps the FO didnt screw anything up it simply just didnt work out

I heard that as well, and clearly money didn't carry the weight that other factors might have. There were plenty of reports that Fanzio wantd to bring along Donatell as DB coach.........I beleve that this was a test by Fanzio to determine how deeply disorganized the team was. Failing to meet his demand also meant he would not have an ally if/when the internal bickering began/continued and blame assigned. Gotta admit that the opportunity to coach in Chicago, even for less money, was by far a better situation for him. It's a bonus that he gets Donatell to go with him there.
