I love Acuna but not running to first is one of the most unforgivable things I’ve always hated even when I was a kid. I remember Bob Horner being a lazy fuck. Different with Acuna who was admiring his hit but damn son it’s the postseason. Dafuq wrong with you?

Looking back at the highlights, its crazy to see how much contact there was in the game. I feel like it could've easily been a 12-10 final score but neither team could get enough going early on. Both managers were too aggressive on the bases. Braves tested Molina early which sounds great on paper if you think he isnt the same guy behind the plate but if I'm the Braves coach that kind of bad decision keeps me up at night. Cardinals sending Wong on a very shallow left field throw seems like the same kind of bad decision. Its more justified, imo, with the 2 outs and the tough throwing angle but every MLB left fielder has the talent to make that throw tough angle or not.

Goldy is a machine. Acuna is a monster. Both closers got demolished.

Cardinals have a fairly large pitching advantage next game. Gotta take advantage.

Cards need to win game 2 almost as bad as the Braves needed to win game 1. When you have the starting pitcher advantage, you have to take advantage.

Like in Die Hard, when you have a chance to kill someone then you really need to. Cards won game 1 by an inch/centimeter/shoe size with that play at first.

Wow, that's kind of a lame excuse but maybe he was talking through an interpreter so it just comes across that way. Or maybe it really is a hard habit to break. It seems like you see some of the same guys do that over and over. Other guys seem to train themselves by running everything out, including walks.
