I am looking at the standings as of right now and the AL East and AL Central look like they could have some interesting races for the season. The AL West looks like a two team race at best.
But for the NL it looks like NL East is a two team race, NL central maybe a three team race. NL West however I am seeing Rockies, D-Backs, and Giants all within a game of each other and the Padres and Dodgers despite starting off poorly are only a good win streak away from getting back into things.
We know the Dodgers have more talent than whatever poor chemistry and injury has made them show so far. The Padres are not pitching as well as they are used to thanks to the changes in home field dimensions but as they adjust through the season that should improve and the certainly are hitting better than they typically do.
This could shape up to be the most competitive division in baseball by the end of the season with it being anyone's game all the way down to the last weeks.
