This Cardinal's pitching staff is nasty. I know this can't hold up all season, but man! They are really looking good, back to front.

The Reds will lose 90+ games this season. Cueto, Chapman are definite deadline trade fodder. Leake may be gone as well.

Thats pretty much the reason for optimism. Cardinals were really banged up last year and Wainwright really bailed the team out. This year is a bit of a clean slate to try and do what they couldn't do last year.

Lynn was good down the stretch last year, too, which means that maybe he got over the hump into star pitcher territory.

Cardinals media is really hoping Jason Heyward works out. The best thing that could happen to stl is a likable Ozzie Smith kind of player. Giving up Shelby Miller might seem insane a couple of years from now, too

And Bryant seems to be adjusting just fine to MLB pitching. Small sample size, but he's excelled at every level.

The Reds and Brewers combined for 26 runs and 3 grand slams last night.

Votto is the league MVP so far and has as many hr's as he had all of last season

Cozart has as many hr's already as he had last season (can you say playing for a contract?)
