Watch out for the Gophers next year, they could actually make the big boys tourney only to lose in the first round...

The Gophers winning the NIT just makes the regular season that much more disappointing. For some reason the guys on this team wilt under the pressure of the regular season. With all the pressure gone they finally played to win the game instead of trying to not to lose. Next year I would expect this team to he a fringe tourney team.

Minnesota was far more likely to win a tourney game than Nebraska (not ready/unproven away from home) or Iowa (total end-of-year collapse), though Iowa seemingly had the talent for a good run. And when you think of it, that overtime loss to a solid TN doesn't look all that bad I guess. OSU just happened to be in the path of this tournement's Cinderella in Dayton - I think they were a Sweet 16 type of team that could have even gone another round. Big 10 should be tough again next year...
