UPDATE - Nick Young, MRI shows non-displaced fracture of the patella and a bone bruise. OUT a min. of 2 weeks.

Solid 2 weeks of tanking.

I'm not sure if rules allow it. I haven't looked over it in awhile but if I remember correctly, if you sign a player to two 10 day contracts and don't sign him for the season after the second one expires, you can't sign him back. I'm nowhere near sure of this though. Only part I know for sure is after the 2nd 10 day expires, you have to sign the player for the rest of the season or let him go.

You can sign him back but it is a year long contract not just 10 days. If already have max amount if players one has to be cut traded or placed on ur for the season

Yep, it is safe to say that they should sign Manny for the rest of the season because we can't keep anybody healthy for any length of time.

Lakers will re-sign Sean Williams to replace Nick Young, who's out at least 2 weeks because of non-displaced knee fracture (and bone bruise)

They weren't going to sign Manny for the rest of the season. They want to keep at least one roster spot open for potential trades. Much cheaper to cut a 10-dayer if necessary.
