bullshit CTP. You and I know it. What about our huge win this year? LOL Herb would never stoop so low.

Yeah, how could I forget your huge win. :L

But you keep forgetting, this isn't about ASU. This is about AZ and some fans who unrealistically think that AZ not getting to the Final Four means that the season was a failure. For AZ fans to forget that 340 teams would like to have the season AZ just did is ridiculous. He called them out on it by using the most effective comparison (or jab) possible to an AZ fan: saying that they should be ASU fans if they don't like it. It would be like Alford saying that if fans didn't want to support UCLA, they should go root for USC; or like Matta saying if they thought the same about OSU's season that they should be Ohio fans. I'd have a little chuckle, but I wouldn't go around being offended thinking it was some major affront to USC or Ohio. I'd think it was more about the head coach trying to weed out the fans that he thought were trolling the program. Nothing more, nothing less. As a matter of fact, I'd barely remember it and I wouldn't think much of it.

Try taking a step back, instead of immediately getting offended just because ASU is used by Miller to get a point across to AZ fans. Don't miss the forest for the trees.

I don't see how that's a dig at ASU. He was telling whiney U of A fans to go root for someone else if they can't be happy about making it to the elite eight. If he had said Kentucky instead, do you think Kentucky fans would take it as an insult? I'm betting no. Seems like ASU fans are only upset about it because they know their program isn't worth rooting for.

It was a really petty tweet from Miller. I'm sure he regrets doing it

but it was meant to incite unsupportive Cat fans, more than ASU

Exactly. He was basically telling Zona fans... "If you aren't happy with what we're accomplishing here... go root for ASU".

I honestly don't get how that's even an insult to ASU? Just because ASU happens to suck at basketball recently... that makes it an insult?

Hit the nail on the head. I was actually surprised to see Miller write that tweet. It's so unlike him. Perhaps all the voices about him not being able to get to the final four finally got to him. I don't expect to see tweets like that from him again.

Don't bring ASU into your personal problems with your fans Sean! ASU and Tempe is on the higher echelon of support.

If it helps USC to even make the tournament. We'll take 'em. We'll take any disgruntled former Wildcats fans too.

I was put in timeout and I can say whatever I want on a hoop board. Are your feelings hurt? it is not a UOFA board. It's a free board and Coach Miller was way out of line. This is noteworthy.

Wow how dare the HC of Zona take any shots @ their in-state rivals!:pound:

It was really out of character of him, and I agree, I don't think he let's things get to him like that, in the future. But I also think (without making excuses) that it was anything more than him trying to stand up for his players against them. He was especially poignant about it in the press conference.
