I think if we do have another lockout, Bettman should be forced to crawl through the same sewage pipe that Andy Dufresne did in Shawshank Redemption...

A lockout would hurt the owners much more this time around, especially if they're also paying for the Coyotes and Devils. Raise the league minimum salary, 50/50 profit splits, cap the franchise - not just the big club, do away with Nickelback.

Opening night on October 12th in Pittsburgh.:L

Thanks Bettman. For a guy who's from L.I. it sure seems like you really hate the Isles guts.

they're rusty, you're hungry. no problem...
seems like a gift to get 'em before they have any momentum. :thumb:

How many times in the past 10 years have we seen each other in the first few games? I feel like the answer is: EVERY YEAR. Seriously, the Isles are ALWAYS the first divisional team we play. I'd say it'd be a good game, but heck, both rosters are a long way from completion.

They are a long way now. Give it a month and most of it will already be finalized, like when we snipe Suter away from Philly. ;)

I was considering a trip to Smashville...but it's too early in the season. I have to cover HS football. Dang.

COLUMBUS INVASION! NOVEMBER 2ND! YESSSSSS! Also, the Pens have approximately ZERO Saturday night games. What's up with that?!

Let's hope the Jackets are not mathematically eliminated by then.

Start with three on the road, kind of like that. Lots of home games late. Let's hope they stay steady. Those home games might actually help down the stretch. Just get in. That's all I care about.

The hockey gods listened to the Sabres that requested less B2B games this year even thought it will cost them prime Friday home games. 20+ B2b games three straight years was a bit much. I'd rather sit on a plane an extra hour than have all of those B2b's. JMO.

We open at home against the Pens so that's a good way to start the season with a good game.

I think if we do have another lockout, Bettman should be forced to crawl through the same sewage pipe that Andy Dufresne did in Shawshank Redemption...

I would think shortly after Andy crawled through 500 yards of foul smelling shit that I couldn't imagine they probably put bars over the exit. That and I can't imagine it still discharges into the stream either. Then again I can't imagine anyone crawling through 500 yards of shit and piss and not being overcome by the sewer gas. Also it is funny it was under so much pressure than when he cracked the pipe it sent shit and piss and all the other vile shit up three feet into his face but then the pipe was only 1/4 full when he needed to get into it...
